TEENTech - connecting girls & technology

Teentech is sponsored by AAUW-NJ and DeVry

A day of hands-on workshops
for high school girls, grades 9 - 12, co-sponsored by the
American Association of University Women - New Jersey, Inc.
and DeVry University/North Brunswick

The next TeenTech will be held March 7, 2008 at
DeVry University, Route 1, North Brunswick

AAUW's report, Gender Gaps, indicates that young women lag behind young men in acquiring technical proficiencies such as computer skills. The report cites evidence that girls are more likely to use technology when they see its real-world application.

Teentech takes place at DeVry University/North Brunswick, New Jersey, and is a day of hands-on workshops that are designed to make technology fun, exciting and relevant.

High school girls from around the state will have the opportunity to learn -

TeenTech 2006

•  what to do when their computers "crash"
•  to build a robotic car
•  to be introduced to the virtual lab
•  network computers together
•  design a web page
•  or create images with a digital camera.

Students, Girl Scouts, daughters, etc. in grades 9 - 12 are invited to come to this day of hands-on technology workshop.
